About the Course
This two-day course provides a concise introduction into the characterization and quantitative bioanalysis of peptides and proteins. As such, the course is useful to researchers working in the fields of therapeutic proteins, but also provides useful background information to researchers working with other types of proteins.
As an introductory course, attention is paid to all relevant background aspects, including top-down, middle-up and middle-down, and bottom-up protein characterization, mass spectrometry of both proteins and peptides, and relevant aspects of quantitative bioanalysis, i.e., the analysis of proteins  in (complex) biological matrices, i.e., sample pretreatment, protein digestion, selection of SRM transitions. Relevant workflows in quantitative analysis are outlined and illustrated with application examples.
Who should attend
Researchers involved or soon becoming involved in the characterization and/or quantitative bioanalysis of peptides and proteins (clinical biomarkers or therapeutic proteins) using LC–MS technologies, wanting to extend their knowledge and understanding
