About the Course
Pharmaceutical dosage forms contain both pharmacologically active compounds (APIs) and excipients, inert or inactive ingredients. The properties of the final pharmaceutical dosage forms are highly dependent on the polymers and excipients chosen, their concentration and the interaction between all the compounds. A detailed knowledge of the polymers structure, chemical, physical and mechanical properties is essential for the development of pharmaceutical preparations. An understanding of analytical analysis and ability to interpret the analytical results has a critical role in effective, safe and stable pharmaceutical dosage forms development. Stability of APIs and of the final pharmaceutical products is crucial in pharmaceutical development which affect the performance and safety of the final dosage forms.
